The 411 is your daily dose of news relating to online culture! Oh Em Gee, smartphone manufacturer Blackberry has officially gotten acquisition offer worth $4.7 billion. Bittersweet feelings over here (even though I’ve never been a crackberry user myself) just cause I feel like Canadian innovation is getting…well, unfortunately what it deserves. Let’s consider for a moment that at its peak in 2008, when Blackberry was the BIG player in corporate email and Apple was just launching its game-changing iPhone, the company was worth $80 billion. Ouch.
