Daily 411 – Yahoo beats Google in web traffic and gets back into the game

The 411 is your daily dose of news relating to online culture! It seems Marissa Mayer is doing something right (despite all the recent hate-on around her Vogue fashion shoot…get over it people). Yahoo! topped ComScore’s list of top 50 web properties in July 2013, even outpacing Google for the first time since 2011. And that doesn’t even include traffic numbers coming from Tumblr! Something tells me this lady’s just getting started! Here are some links to web-related happenings you NEED to know about:

I'm a journalist, producer and host who thought I would get into "traditional" broadcasting until the lusty call of the Internet drew me in. I've been fortunate enough to have launched 10 web series about a wide range of niches, like: Greek culture, Wines, India and Battlestar Galactica (BSGcast FTW!). But these days I love being one-half of Nat&Marie, exploring Internet Culture and dissecting how the web affects IRL and vice versa. Instagram's my vice and Technoviking is my home boy!
